MALAYSIA…the undisputed champions of Asia.

The Malaysia Lawn Bowls Federa-tion (MLBF) took great pains to work their way up with an effective sports development system in place for their success.

At the 14th Asian Lawn Bowls championships – the national team emerged overall champions with 4-gold, 2-silver and 2-bronze medals while Philippines came second (3-0- 2) followed by India (1-3-1) in third place.

Nurul Alyani Jamil starred for Malaysia with 2 golds in the women’s singles and triples events while Izzat Shameer Dzulkeple, a silver medal-ist at the 2022 World champion of champions in Auckland, snatched the men’s singles title.

The future augurs well as Malaysia also emerged overall champions of the Asian Under-25 tournament making a clean sweep of all 3 gold medals. Rising star Aleena Nawawi bags 2 golds.

Nurul Alyani on fire with 2 golds NEW Asian Lawn Bowls Federation (ALBF) president Datuk Awalan Abdul Aziz is optimistic about the future. The MLBF president is committed to bringing Asian Lawn Bowls grow into strength and prominence.

Awalan, who won the ALBF presidency unopposed at the 15th Board of Governors Meeting in Ipoh, Perak, is the second Malaysian after the late Tun Ahmad Sarji to helm the position.
